Alexandra Shulman will step out of Editor – in – Chief position from Vogue UK. She has worked in the magazine for 25 years and announced her resignation in January. The new soon to be editor is Edward Enninful, which was appointed by Conde Nast’s chief executive Jonathan Newhouse. He will start his new job role on August 1. Now they are working together with Shulman to ensure a smooth transition into this new chapter.
Enninful is well known in the fashion industry, having worked at W Magazine, Vogue Italy, Vogue America, and now Vogue UK.
He has also received prestigious awards, including Isabella Blow Award for fashion creator of the year by the British Fashion Council and OBE – Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, for his achievements in fashion.
The new editor is celebrated, as one of the diverse people in the fashion industry. Not only that, but he also has many influential friends/celebrities that will surely help when the editor needs interesting stories or a cover photo for Vogue magazine.
It is definitely going to be a challenge, as he has big shoes to fill in – Shulman has been running magazine for years and has transformed Vogue into one of the most read magazines in the UK.
